Gravity Filters / Flat Bed Filters

Viscose / Cellulose / Rayon
This is the most commonly used media for gravity filter systems. The coarse short staple fibres of the wood pulp based media create a relatively weak product. However, the gravity feed mesh belts sufficiently support the versatile filter paper. Viscose suits most fluids offering nominal filtration from 15 - 50 micron.
Spunbonded Polypropylene (SBPP)
SBPP is a less expensive product than polyester. It can be limited in some applications depending on the nature of the fluid and the mechanical performance required. It is often found on gravity feed systems when standard viscose is unsuitable.
