UK based oil mist collection specialist, Filtermist, is delighted to announce that it has officially appointed four more distributors to strengthen its presence in the ASEAN region.
Managing Director James Stansfield recently visited Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines with Filtermist Asia Business Develpoment Manager, Desmond Teo.
The trip included a visit to Manila based MESCO Inc to present the management team with its official Filtermist distributor certificate, before travelling on to Indonesia where PT. Frisindo Mitra Usaha became the second Filtermist distributor following PT. Javatec’s appointment in July 2014.
MESCO has more than 50 years’ experience in supplying quality machine tools, engineering products and technologies to industrial organisations and manufacturers. The forward thinking company is ‘committed to its vision of being internationally recognized as an outstanding provider of metal manufacturing technology in the Philippines.’
James comments, “MESCO is a distributor for a number of well-known machine tool manufacturers including Mazak. It has demonstrated a commitment to promoting the brands it supplies and we are confident that it will make significant gains in raising Filtermist’s profile throughout the Philippines."
Jakarta based PT. Frisindo, established in 1989, counts Doosan amongst its suppliers so the contract to distribute Filtermist oil mist collectors is an excellent fit.
“We have extensive experience of supplying units for use on Doosan machine tools. PT. Frisindo’s existing customer base of Doosan users provides significant opportunities for Filtermist to tap in to,” said James.
The trip to Thailand included a visit to new distributor, Yamada, where James met with the Japanese owned company to discuss opportunities for Filtermist. And in Vietnam, Hopkim Vina was appointed as the second distributor in the country, joining SOS Environment which started selling Filtermist units last year.
Sales of Filtermist oil mist collectors have increased significantly in the ASEAN region since the formation of Singapore based Filtermist Asia Pte in 2013 - a number of local distributors have been appointed and a dedicated website filtermistasia.com ensures customers can easily access a wealth of product and technical information.
James continues, “A growing global awareness of health and safety issues means we have witnessed a dramatic increase in demand for our extraction units. We have put a number of measures in place to capitalise on this opportunity and ensure our customers can access local support throughout the ASEAN region.”
Filtermist units are now sold in to more than 60 countries around the World.
