Metalex Thailand is focus for Filtermist growth in Asia

UK based oil mist collectors manufacturer Filtermist International will be exhibiting at Metalex Thailand later this year as part of its ongoing presence in Asia.

The company has been steadily growing market share in the ASEAN region over the past 20 years and currently has 16 distributors in Asia, as well as dedicated trading company Filtermist (Shanghai) Ltd and Business Development Managers based in India, China and Singapore.

Director of Group International Sales, Stuart Plimmer, comments, “This part of the world offers huge potential for Filtermist. The demand for manufacturing facilities which benefit from clean, safe air is growing exponentially as more and more manufacturers recognise the important role this can play in winning contracts, employee recruitment and retention, and productivity - not to mention the huge risk reductions afforded by effective oil mist extraction.

“If left in the air, oil mist can cause a wide range of health issues including skin and respiratory diseases - it can also present a fire and slip risk, and can damage sensitive electrical equipment. Fitting and maintaining Filtermist oil mist filters on all machine tools eradicates these risks. And because our products are all very compact, they don’t take up valuable floor-space.

“This has been reflected in our sales over the past few years and we are keen to keep the momentum going. As well as offering an excellent opportunity to meet with existing and potential customers, we will also be using our visit to meet with as many of our distributors in this region as possible.”

Established in the UK in 1969, Filtermist now offers local support in more than 60 countries worldwide – a fact which is valued by many machine tool manufacturers, as Filtermist International CEO James Stansfield, explains, “Global connectivity means it is now easier to export than ever before, so machine tools made in one country could literally end up anywhere in the world.

“If they are fitted with Filtermist oil mist filters this is not an issue. By offering a truly global service, our OEM customers can be confident that their customers can access support wherever they are located.”
