Filtermist’s Mexican distributor Hertool has installed Filtermist oil mist collectors on CNC machines being operated in the brand-new showroom of Schunk Intec SA de CV. 

According to a news article regarding the opening of the new building, the new facility in Santiago de Querétaro has its own assembly and manufacturing capabilities, as well as a CoLab application centre for automation and depaneling technology.

Alexander Moretti, Production and Service Manager at the new site, contacted Hertool to advise that the company was experiencing an issue with oil mist escaping into the showroom from the CNC machines which are used to run tests of Schunk’s holding systems.

Hertool assessed the machine tools in use and then installed a direct mounted S800 on the Gildemeister NEF 400 lathe and a machine-mounted FX5002 on the DMC 835 Deckel Maho machining centre. Alexander was very complimentary about the service Schunk received from Hertool: “Very fast and really good service”, he commented. “Excellent communication with Luis Lince – absolutely professional! Luis Lince, Commercial Manager at Hertool, elaborates on the working arrangement with Schunk in Mexico, “Many Mexican manufacturers work with Schunk for their toolholding and workholding, so having the Filtermist units on show all the time is very beneficial for us. 

“Schunk does not sell machine tools, but the set-up they have showcases best practice. Customers can see that if they want their premises to be as clean as Schunk’s, effective oil mist extraction is very important.”
