Filtermist is pleased to announce that it will be taking part in the UK Automotive Trade Mission to Mexico next week with new distributor Hertool S.A. CV D.E.
The three-day trip will include the Automotive Meetings in Queretaro from 20th-22nd February, followed by networking sessions in Mexico City on the 23rd.
The country’s automotive industry offers huge potential for Filtermist – Mexico is currently the seventh largest vehicle manufacturing nation in the world, boasting operations for leading brands including General Motors, Ford and Chrysler.
A report by ProMexico, the government agency tasked with developing the international economy, states that Mexico’s automotive sector accounts for 18% of the country’s manufacturing GDP and is responsible for 900,000 jobs.
Filtermist’s Business Development Manager Chris Harper, comments, “The global automotive industry offers significant potential for Filtermist; many of the world’s leading OEMs and automotive supply chain manufacturers already use Filtermist oil mist collectors to protect their employees from exposure to oil mist. For example, Nissan, which has a huge manufacturing presence in Mexico, currently uses Filtermist units in the UK, Spain, China and India.
“Filtermist has manufactured oil mist collectors since 1969 and they are proven around the world to effectively remove oil mist from workplace air. We are keen to highlight this fact with as many automotive manufacturers as possible.”
650 companies from 21 countries attended the two-day event in Queretaro in 2015 which hosted 10,000 face to face meetings - show organisers are expecting an even larger turnout this year.
